What’s happening at the fair this year? | The Post
NJ State Fair’s Fair has been under the microscope lately as the state’s fairgrounds have been under lockdown due to the massive flooding in New York City.
Now, a new piece of news has just popped up, the Fair has just announced it will be closing to the public for the duration of the storm.
The Fairgrounds in the town of Fairlawn are located on the west side of the Meadowlands in New Jersey.
The Fairgrounds are one of the most popular tourist attractions in the state, hosting many events including the New Jersey State Fair, the New York State Fair and the annual Governors Ball.
The fairgrounds closed to the general public on Saturday, September 18th for a two day stay.
There is no way to enter the fairgrounds.
This comes on the heels of the state fair opening on September 19th, where over 200,000 people were expected to visit the fair grounds.
The news comes after Hurricane Sandy, which struck New Jersey on September 11, 2015, and has caused major flooding in areas around New York and New Jersey, as well as flooding at some parts of the country.
The New York Governor has called on the state to reopen as quickly as possible, but the state has been struggling with a massive budget deficit.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has said that the state needs to raise money to help fix up and rebuild the fairground, but has not been able to do so due to a lack of resources.
